Aurora Lloyd

Aurora Lloyd is a genre-bending singer, songwriter, and storyteller based in Washington, D.C. Known for her emotionally honest lyricism and celestial soundscapes, she blends R&B, alternative pop, and poetic confessionals into music that feels like flipping through the pages of a sacred journal.

Originally from Philadelphia with roots in Lithonia, Georgia, Aurora has been performing since the age of eight. Her work reflects both her lived experience as a Black trans woman and her deep commitment to emotional truth, healing, and creative freedom. She invites listeners affectionately called her Butterflies into sonic worlds where softness is strength, and vulnerability is a form of protest.

Aurora has shared stages and creative energy with artists like Jeremih, Trey Songz, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, and Cyndi Lauper, but her true artistry lives in her handwritten lyrics, studio-floor vocals, and the moments of catharsis her music provides.

When she’s not recording, Aurora works as a community health advocate, job coach for individuals with special needs, and part-time barista all while staying rooted in self-care through gaming, anime, and spiritual practices. She’s currently closing out the Neptune era with a visual rollout and preparing to release her next chapter with #insidemynotebook 2.
